LEARN TO DRUM IN COMMUNITY
Have you ever wanted to join in with a
drum circle but donıt know how to play the instruments? Would you like to
learn how,
but donıt have a drum? Do you just want to brush up on your own drum
skills?
This workshop is for you!
Come join Barb Pitcher and learn different drums,
rhythm instruments and techniques to play in community with others. Barb
brings drums and rhythm instruments from around the world as well as many
home made instruments made from common household and recycled items. She
will teach you how to play, to produce the sounds from the instruments.
These easy user-friendly instruments allow those
inhibitions to dissolve and open yourself to a relaxing fun evening. No
musical experience is required, there is no wrong way to play, so
you are guaranteed success!
You will leave this workshop having the skills and knowledge to join in
any drum circle.
Instruments provided, or bring your own!

COMMUNITY DRUM CIRCLEThis open public
community drum circle is an interactive community building event in
which Barb Pitcher will bring drums from around the world and many unique
rhythms instruments. She is not the performer, but a facilitator who
allows people to engage in a fun, interactive music making event together.
It is not about being a musician, but about listening and working to build
harmony.
Barb encourages people to play together
to make "in the moment"
music. There is no right or wrong way to play. Each person contributes
their own rhythm.
Everyone benefits, no one is left out.
For those who participated in the Learn How To Drum
workshop, this is a separate opportunity to drum in a community drum
circle. However it is not a requirement to have attended the previous
workshop to participate in this open public community drum circle.
Instruments provided, or bring your own if you have one youıd like to
play.
